EOL Text
Global Range: Native to fresh water and brackish water in eastern Asia; Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, and the former Soviet Union (Akihito and Sakamoto 1989). Introduced (shortly before 1985) and established in California (San Francisco Bay region, lower Sacramento drainage, Los Angeles County, and probably other areas fed by the California Aqueduct) (Matern and Fleming 1995, Fuller et al. 1999, Sommer et al. 2001, Moyle 2002).

Tridentiger bifasciatus, the Shimofuri goby, is a species of goby native to marine, brackish and fresh waters along the coasts of eastern Asia. It has also been introduced to the Pacific Coast of the United States. This species can reach a length of 12 centimetres (4.7 in) TL.[2]
