"Erect bulbous herbs, to 25 cm high; stem short or absent. Leaves few, erect; leaflets obconical, 3 x 5 cm, base acute, apex retuse; petiole to 20 cm long. Flowers few, violet, pedicellate, 3-5 together in long-peduncled umbels; sepals green, 4 x 1 mm, oblong; petals 10 x 5 mm, violet with yellowish base; stamens 10; filaments alternatively long and short."
