The Schizoporellidae is a family within the bryozoan order Cheilostomata. Colonies are encrusting on shells and rocks or upright bilaminar branches or sheets. The zooidal orifice has a narrow V-shaped sinus.

Autozooids with cryptocystidean frontal shield, evenly perforate, or with marginal pores only. Primary orifice with define anter and poster, with well defined condyles; poster often narrowed to constitute a sinus. Oral spines present or absent. Avicularia adventitious and/or vicarious, or absent. Ovicell present. Vertical walls with multiporous septula or basal pore chambers.
