Revision of GIASIPartnership Side Event at SBSTTA17, 2013 from Mon, 2013-10-14 20:50

The Side Event exploreed what has been delivered in the last year and discuss future plans. Tools and resources discussed will include the GIASIPartnership Information Gateway, the Global Register of Introduced and Invasive Species, the IAS Pathway Tool, and plans to develop interoperability between Partners’ resources to improve the ability of Parties to discover the information they need. The Partner organizations - CABI, Fishbase, GBIF, IUCN-ISSG, Natural History Museum (UK), Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (France), Horus Institute (Brazil), Anatrack Ltd (and the Parties of the CBD through the CBD Secretariat) – are working towards being able to react to Parties’ changing needs and deliver information to support key aspects of the workflow in combating Invasive Alien Species.
