Description
Native Rosella (Ablemoschus ficulneus) about 12 km north of Gregory Downs on Wills Development Road, Queensland, Australia. Photographed on 28 April 2016.This is the only species of Abelmoschus recorded from the area but the leaves don't quite fit the descriptions. That may be because of grazing as the plants had been well grazed. The plant has been used as both a source of food and of fibre in a number of countries.
