Description
This succulent is native to Madagascar but was a common plant in yards around Palm Beach County when I was a kid. This one lives on Munyon Island (with it's cousin K. pinnata) where is is well adapted to the dry conditions. It is sometimes called "mother of thousands" because it grows lots of plantlets along the margins of it's leaves. Due to their intense vegetative reproduction, they rarely bloom. The plant contains cardiac glycosides and is poisonous.
