Description
Lebbek tree is one of the hundred common trees in Hong Kong. Native in the tropical regions of Africa and Asia, its wood can be used to make furniture. The bark contains tannin, which can be used as medicine to relieve inflammation. Lebbeck is also used as an astringent, to treat boils, cough, flu, gingivitis, lung problems, pectoral problems, is used as a tonic, and is used to treat abdominal tumors. The bark is used medicinally to treat inflammation. Albizia lebbeck is also psychoactive. This photo was taken along side a road in Tsing Yi, Hong Kong.
