Description
Around 6-6.5ft tall, older shrub with red-brown stems and green twigs. Leaves are green and ovate and longer than they are wide. Smooth, simple leaves placed in an alternate arrangement. No flowers, small unripened green fruits observed in clusters at the ends of branches. Tamarack bog, very rich peat soil, wet but not quite standing water. Dense thicket.
