Description
From hilltop at north end of Garie Beach, Royal National Park, coast south of Sydney. The brown shrubs are flowering male plants of Allocasuarina distyla. Female plants are plain olive-green. Also abundant is Banksia ericifolia. The purplish shale lower down the slope is one of the upper formations in the Permian Narrabeen Series sediments.
