Description
The Ligurian Bee was introduced to Kangaroo Island in the 1880s, and now KI is a sanctuary for this excellent honeybee. I was surprised to find a natural hive of bees when I was walking along Vivonne Bay, but was told at a bee center that they often go off and create their own colonies.
