DescriptionAPI Introduced, warm-season, perennial, densely-tufted grass; forms large clumps up to 2.5 m tall. A native of South America, it is found in moister areas and is flooding tolerant. Most commonly occurs along roadsides, waterways and bush tracks, but also occurs in ungrazed or very lightly grazed pastures. Becomes more common in wetter years.
