Description
This genus (with just one widespread North American species) has the remarkable habit of singing from the underside of a leaf. It chews a hole just the right size for its forewings, and then "sings" by placing the forewings over the hole as seen here. The head is extended through the hole, and visible from the other side, though I did not get a photo of that.  --BugGuide account--Neoxabea bipunctata
