A pretty flower, sometimes (when fresh?) a delicate blue, as here, but often white. The leaves are large and fuzzy--thus the alternate name, "Hounds Tongue". That looks like what the scientific name for the genus means as well: cyno (Greek, dog), plus gloss (Greek, tongue).
