Description
I found this South African native growing in deep shade with wild coffee and other native plants along the main accessible trail at our local natural area. It's not listed on the area's page at the IRC Floristic Inventory Database so it probably arrived recently from the garden of one of the nearby homes. The seed pods of this plant reportedly "explode" and send seeds flying a good distance from the parent plant. With blossoms like this, the County invasive plant eradication squad is likely to discover them.
